What the other guys won't tell you
Most sales oriented outfits would rather sell you an upgrade
than to
repair your unit because it's more profitable for them!
There is a 90 to 95% chance you'll be better off repairing
your
current
transponder than to replace or upgrade it.
1. Repairing is almost always the less expensive option.
2. A recently serviced transponder is more reliable than a used
replacement unit with a questionable history.
3. No rewiring or re-installation required.
4. Older transponders are not obsolete.
To find out why.
5. Some newer transponders may become obsolete.

Transponders technology has changed little in the last 50 years.
The equipment looks,
feels and operates
nearly the same. Along the way tubes gave way to transistors, and
later
to integrated circuits.
Most transponders in use today have transistors, chips and one
tube. It's a hybrid
technology that still
works and is in fact the rule rather than the exception. An older
transponder is remarkably similar to a
brand new unit.
We are a service oriented facility and we understand all of
this. We can sell you a
new
or used unit,
if you wish. We would rather fix your current unit.
